Our projects with others

UGaze

UGaze is a newly established DFG Priority Programme (SPP 2481) that dives deep into the power of gaze in our expressions and interactions. As part of this Germany-wide collaboration, we seek to address key gaps in our understanding of the role of gaze-based communication in value-based decision-making in primates. We focus on rhesus macaques, red-fronted Lemurs, and humans in naturalistic, interactive scenarios.

SFB 1528 Cognition of Interaction

The primary scientific goal of the DFG collaborative research consortium Cognition of Interaction is to understand how fundamental cognitive functions such as perception, selective attention, action planning, and decision-making contribute to social interactions on both behavioral and neural levels. We were first established as an early career research group in this consortium. We aim to identify hidden states of vigilance, defined as the degree to which an individual seeks information from their surroundings in macaques in the lab and in their natural habitats.
